Stop Guessing: Why You Need the Tremco 951NF Product Data Sheet Before You Buy Anything

If you're about to buy a tube of Tremco sealant or roll on some garage floor epoxy, stop and find the product data sheet first. I can't tell you how many times I've seen perfectly good projects ruined because someone grabbed the wrong primer or didn't check the compatibility chart. My rule now: no data sheet, no purchase. Let me be honest: there are times you can ignore the data sheet. I've done it, and it worked out fine. But those are rare exceptions, not the norm.

For example, if you're applying a garage floor epoxy in a low-traffic area, you might be able to get away with a slightly underprepared surface. But for a parking garage or a commercial kitchen floor? Don't do it. I've seen what happens when a contractor skips the data sheet on a high-traffic job: delamination, peeling, and a lawsuit.

Another exception: if you've used the exact same product on the exact same substrate dozens of times, you might have your own empirical data. But even then, double-check. Manufacturers sometimes change formulations without announcing it. I had a supplier tell me the formula of a popular polyurethane sealant changed about five years ago, but the product name stayed the same. I only found out because I read the updated data sheet.
